8 Days Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route

Tour Overview

The Lemosho Route is often described as the most beautiful trail on Kilimanjaro, offering a perfect blend of remote wilderness, diverse ecosystems, and excellent acclimatization. Starting from the western side of the mountain, this route begins in lush rainforest where wildlife sightings are common, then gradually ascends through moorlands, alpine deserts, and glaciers.

The 8-day version provides ample time for acclimatization, making it one of the most successful routes for reaching the summit. Highlights include crossing the dramatic Shira Plateau, tackling the thrilling Barranco Wall, and experiencing the stark lunar landscapes near Barafu Camp. The final summit push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) is unforgettable — a sunrise above the clouds at the Roof of Africa.

This trek is ideal for adventurers who want to maximize their chances of success while enjoying Kilimanjaro’s most scenic and less crowded trail.
