5 Days Kilimanjaro Marangu Route

Tour Overview

The Marangu Route is the oldest and most established trail on Mount Kilimanjaro. Unlike other routes, it offers hut accommodations instead of tents, making it a popular choice for trekkers who prefer more comfort. This 5-day itinerary is a faster-paced version of the climb, designed for experienced trekkers or those with limited time.

The journey takes you through lush rainforest alive with monkeys and exotic birds, into moorlands dotted with giant heather, and finally across alpine deserts leading to the icy summit slopes. The highlight is reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the Roof of Africa, after a midnight summit push under a canopy of stars.

Though shorter than other routes, the Marangu 5-day trek still delivers unforgettable scenery, cultural encounters, and the thrill of standing atop Africa’s highest peak.
