Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya!

Once you have completed the immigration process, our representative will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

You will then be transferred to your city hotel for check-in.

In a single century, Kenya's capital city has transformed from a brackish, uninhabited swampland to a thriving modern capital.

Modern Nairobi is still Africa's safari capital, but the modern world has quickly caught up with it. Nairobi, once a frontier town, is now one of Africa's largest and most interesting cities.

Nairobi is a city that never sleeps. The entire town exudes boundless energy and is a thriving community that supports all aspects of human life. This is a place of stark contrasts, where race, tribe, and origin all contribute to Nairobi's distinct character. The city has not lost its sense of history, with an excellent museum and the historical home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, open to the public. This is not a modern capital set apart from the vast wilderness that surrounds it. Nairobi National Park is located just outside the city and covers 113 square kilometres of plains, cliffs, and forest. The park is home to large herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, and other wildlife. Rhino, Cheetah, and a large number of Lions can be found living wild within 20 minutes of the town centre.

The rest of the day is spent at leisure, with an overnight stay at a town hotel in Nairobi.

Dinner will be paid directly.

Day 2: Full day disposal in Nairobi
Breakfast will be served in your hotel. At the agreed-upon time (0800Hrs), you will be met by our guide and depart for your full-day excursion to the beautiful Karen Area. Begin with a public hour visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust at 1100Hrs -1200Hrs. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's elephant Orphanage is a small charity founded in 1977 by Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick to honour the memory of her husband, famous naturalist David Sheldrick, the founding Warden of Kenya's Tsavo East National Park. Daphne, who was born in Kenya, lived and worked alongside her late husband for over 25 years, raising and rehabilitating orphans of misfortune from a variety of wild species, including elephants aged two and up. You will then visit the Giraffe Centre, which provides the unique experience of hand-feeding these gentle giants at eye level. From a raised platform, I watched the warthogs below snuffle around for titbits. Our guide will then recommend a hotel where you can have lunch (payable directly). Then, visit the Karen Blixen Museum, which depicts typical colonial life in Kenya. Karen, a Danish author, and her Swedish husband, Baron Bror von Blixen, once owned the farm that included the house. The museum rose to international prominence following the release of the Oscar-winning film "Out of Africa," which is based on Karen's life. Following your excursions, you will be transported back to your hotel. Dinner will be on your own at the hotel. Concord Hotel & Suites - Superior Rooms, Hilton Garden Inn - Standard Room Meal Plan: None.
Day 3: Nairobi –Samburu Game Reserve
Breakfast will be served in your town hotel. After breakfast, you will travel by road to Samburu Game Reserve, arriving at your camp in time for lunch. Samburu Game Reserve is located on the land of the colourful Samburu people, who are close cousins to the Masai. Samburu is dramatic both visually and faunally for the majority of the year, thanks to the harsh equatorial sun. This arid wilderness is where the waters of the Ewaso N'giro attract a plethora of wildlife. This stunning area is known for its large elephant herds and elusive leopards, as well as northern endemic species like the gerenuk Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx, and reticulated giraffe. The first afternoon game drive will take place before you return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Ashnil Samburu Camp. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve
Another day at Samburu Game Reserve. Your driver will plan your days with you, which can be as active or relaxing as you want. You can choose to spend the entire day in the reserve with picnic lunches, or you can go on a morning game drive and then return to the camp for a leisurely lunch and time to relax before going out game viewing again in the cooler afternoon. The Samburu people are among the friendliest in Kenya. The Samburu, originally a nomadic tribe, continue to embrace their nomadic culture today. They live north of the equator in the geographically fascinating Samburu County of Northern Kenya, and they are closely related to the Maasai tribe, who speak a language derived from Maa. Return to your campsite for dinner and overnight. Ashnil Samburu Camp. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 5: Samburu Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you will proceed by road to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at your camp in time for lunch. There is time to relax after lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru National Park is best known for its migrating flamingos and its large flocks of pelicans, however, recently the lake’s rising water levels have reduced the salinity of water in the lake thereby reducing algae, the main food for flamingoes. When this happens the migrating flamingoes move to Lake Bogoria. There are over 450 bird species at the lake and a thriving mammal population including buffalos, baboons, impalas, Rothschild giraffes, bush backs, and waterbucks. A rhino sanctuary was established to protect this highly endangered species. The parkland surrounding the Lake has acacia and euphorbia forests as well as areas of grassland and rocky cliffs. Later in the evening, you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight. Lake Nakuru Lodge Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park –Masai Mara Game Reserve
Breakfast will be served in your lodge. Today, you will travel to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving at your camp in time for lunch. You will have some leisure time at the camp and enjoy the camp's activities. This afternoon, you will go to the traditional Maasai Manyatta for a cultural experience. Before returning to camp, you will go on an evening game drive. The Masai Mara Game Reserve encompasses over 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. This is Africa. of the imagination; endless stretches of acacia-dotted grasslands punctuated by hazy hills. Be on the lookout for large prides of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and other plain animals. Dinner will be served, followed by overnight. Mara Maisha camp Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve
This day will be spent game viewing in Kenya's premier wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve, in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife that inhabits this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Masai Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets that are well worth photographing. The Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya has incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland that follow the meandering Mara and Talek rivers. One look is enough to understand its allure; it is classic open savannah with an abundance of incredible wildlife. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara, you will see a variety of wildlife, including Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffalos, zebras, and hippos can also be found in large numbers. It is also common to see lions basking after a large meal or surveying the wild plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are more difficult to spot but relatively common. The ultimate action here is without a doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, known as the Great Migration, which occurs in July and August when millions of these grass eaters migrate north from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures before returning south in October. Hot-air balloon rides are an absolutely fantastic way to see the savannah plains teeming with wildlife. These Masai Mara balloon trips can be arranged at an additional cost. Mara Maisha camp Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve –Lake Naivasha
Last early-morning game drive in this magnificent reserve. Return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast, then check out with your guide at the agreed-upon time. You'll then head to Lake Naivasha. The lake is an important horticultural area in Kenya. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, located outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County, north west of Nairobi. It's part of the Great Rift Valley. The name derives from the local Maasai name Nai'posha, which means "rough water" because of the sudden storms that can occur. Lunch will be served, followed by free time to enjoy the hotel grounds. Afternoon at leisure by the lakeside. This afternoon, you will take a boat ride on the lake. Rest of the evening will be spent at your resort. Lake Naivasha's Sopa Resort. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will travel to Amboseli National Park via Nairobi, arriving at your camp in time for lunch. Amboseli National Park is located in southern Kenya. It is well-known for its large elephant herds and views of Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro. Observation Hill provides panoramic views of the peak, as well as the park's plains and swamps. Giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and hundreds of bird species are among the diverse wildlife. The western section is dominated by the vast Lake Amboseli, which remains dry outside of the rainy season. This afternoon, you will go on your first game drive in this magnificent park. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight. Kibo Safari Camp. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 10: Full day in Amboseli National Park
Another day spent at Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is often referred to as the 'Land of Giants' because of the impressive elephants that carry massive tusks. The animals are set against the breathtaking views of Mt Kilimanjaro, which provide an incredible backdrop to the small park. Aside from elephants, many plains animals are easily identifiable. Fantastic photo opportunities exist, and early mornings are ideal for clear views of Kilimanjaro. Amboseli provides excellent wildlife viewing, with four of the Big Five present. Rhinos are absent, but large herds of elephants travel to and from the park's marshy swamps on a regular basis. Buffalo, wildebeest, Burchell's zebra, and gazelle are all extremely common. Lions are the easiest to spot among the big cats, but sightings are unpredictable. All meals will be served at your campsite. Kibo Safari Camp. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 11: Amboseli – Nairobi
This morning, have a leisurely breakfast and then check out with your guide at the agreed-upon time. You will then travel to Nairobi. Your guide will recommend a good hotel where you can eat lunch (pay direct). There are no activities scheduled for today.
